COMPUTER CLUB

Dream Africa Schools Network offers 21st century leaning in a national curriculum setting.  Digital proficiency is a key 21st century skill. Via the computer clubs our learners are taken through 6 levels of digital learning.

A child master’s each level before he /she progresses to the next.

This term we are beginning with Level 1 which is

Level 1: Computer Basics & Digital Creativity

Expected Outcomes:

- Students will be familiar with computer hardware and software.

- Students will have basic mouse and keyboard skills.

- Students will be able to create simple documents and perform basic operations.

- Students will be able to learn the necessary computer usage etiquette.

- Students will have basic digital art and graphic editing skills.

- Students will create simple digital art projects.

Week 4

Mouse and Keyboard Skills

·       Master mouse control and clicking.

·       Learn keyboard basics (letters, numbers, special keys).

·       Practice typing simple words.

Week 5

Basic Operating System Skills

·       Navigate the desktop.

·       Open and close applications.

·       Create folders and files.

Week 6

Document Creation and Editing

·       Introduction to word processing.

·       Create and format simple documents.

·       Navigate through the features of word processing

Week 7

Introduction to Digital Art

·       Learn digital drawing tools.

·       Create simple digital art.

·       Color and fill shapes.

Week 8

Basic Graphic Editing

·       Resize and rotate images.

·       Add text to images.

·       Save and export digital art.
