Teacher Preparation (30 points = 6*5)
1.1 Enough lesson plans
for the period elapsed.
1.2 Lesson plans are specific
with you do/we do/cfu being creative and elemental.
1.3 Lesson plans evaluated,
retaught where required.
1.4 Evidence of feedback
given on lesson plans (beyond signatures) on a periodic basis,

date- notes, CCA in place, work plan, teaching time table , assessment tracker

Student output (70 points = 7*10)
2.1 Student books have sufficient work in them.
2.2 Students’ books are neat, handwriting is
acceptable and work not missing.
2.3 Student files have evidence of quizzes, handwriting
tests, spelling bees and homework beyond homework books.
2.4 Students books are marked, and feedback is given
regularly (beyond signature)
2.5 Student homework book is marked and remarked regularly.
2.6 Holiday Package was marked for the majority of
learners.
2.7 Students books reflect hands-on, practical and
project based.
2.8 Conversations with students reflect learning for understanding, presentations and confidence
2.9 Students in general can express with confidence what they have learnt

3. Classroom (20 points = 10*2)

C lean floors/carpets/clean desks/ no broken glasses cow-webs/shelves

and well labelled shelves /subject centers – each subject must have its own area.

teacher’s table – must be placed in front (not at the back), well demarcated –
in coming classwork books for marking, homework books etc

4.1

toilets, compound, offices. Dormitories, askari’s plance and clinics are all clean, tidy, organized with updated

Must have
a personal teaching file with a teaching timetable, lesson plans for at least
all lessons that he/she has taught, CCAs – questions/answers/scores per child
in his/her respective subject/learning area(s), personal teaching notes etc.
4.3
Must have
conducted enough lesson observations – must have seen each teacher twice or more
by now.
4.4
Staff
roles well defined – chart in his/her office showing who’s the warden/senior
man/woman teacher etc.

Evidence of
training, feedback, and monitoring staff progress /weekly review meetings

Evidence
of community and parental engagement.
4.7
Evidence
of implementation of key policies communicated From Director’s office from time
to time.
4.8
Weekly
prep reports – a book showing what has been covered daily in each prep session
– must correspond with what is in the prep exercise books of the children.

Weekly Prep rota & Prep time books – must have enough work
and everything must be marked and signed off by the Headteacher – to show
follow up has been done.
4.10
Remedial
lessons/Differentiated learning books – must be seen and with relatively
reasonable work.
5.0
Director’s rating (60 points = 10*6)
5.1 Daily report and weekly summary are comprehensive,
meaningful ,sincere and sent without constant reminders.
5.2
Active on
WhatsApp – not creating excuses all the time, always acknowledging important
information, communicates effortlessly with parents on the school forum etc.
5.3
Always
consults – does not carry out un approved activities at schools/always gets
his/her parents memo approved by the Director being shared/keeps the management
in the know.
5.4
Brings in
innovation – must have invented something new in school so far or has done the
bare minimum of what is expected leading to an increased enrolment count.
5.5
Has a
positive outlook – always responsive and proactive to the school’s programs – active
& impactful clubs at school level.
5.6
Is a
long-term prospect – positive, always present, excellent communication skills,
self-reliant, result oriented, very good staff/children retention etc.
5.7
Regular Community
Outreach and Visibility embedded in academic programs.

Engagement
