FEEDBACK ON STUDENTS TO PARENTS

How should teachers give feedback to parents?

Teachers should always use words and phrases to ensure there is a :

= A tone of positivity

= A tone of hope

= A tone of control

= A tone  of progress

= A tone of assurance.

NOT TO SAY

WHAT TO SAY

= Do not say student is being naughty

 

= student (use the first name) has more energy, and we are working to channelize his energy into more creative ways,

 

= Do not say student is just so indiscipline.

 

= while there is improvement, we need to work on (student name) behaviour and general awareness in the school setting

= Do not say student is beyond you

 

= we are working rigorously to ensure (student name) does not fall back on his grades

= Do not say student is weak here and weak there

 

= these are his strong areas (find at least 2-3) but then there are areas which seem to be week (like) and we r working on it.
