Highlights of Today’s Staff meeting at DAS Mbalwa -Naalya

1-      This term is a term of maximum customer care to avoid  tripping up an already good performance year.

2-      All staff shall exhibit the care in

= boarding

= transport

= school clinic

= general academics

3-      Boarding:

-          All boarders to be allocated houses under the care of resident teachers.

-          The evening reflection meetings followed by prayers will be done by the resident teachers (house masters) in their groups.

-          There will be combined meetings/ prayers for all houses – mid-week and weekends.

-          Warden will work with his team to have the house allocated to house masters in the next two days.

-          Matron(s) /Nurse / Warden/ Resident teachers need to adopt the language of care and be oriented on communication skills with parents and the children.

 

4-      Transport

-          Transport routes to be reviewed

-          Pick and drop timings are to be looked at closely to ensure smooth and timely delivery.

-          Head of School will allocate the right staff for this to be accomplished in the next two days.

 

5-      School Clinic

-          Health and Hygiene of learners need to be taken as a priority.

-          All cases are to be handled promptly before the spread.

-          Feeding should be always checked.

-          The language at the clinic should be of concern, care, and love.

-          Matrons, Warden, and Housemasters should be able to work with the nurser in harmony.

        6-Academics

-          We need to continue excelling at academics.

-          Primary five and Primary six need to be in boarding this term and an appeal be made to all such parents to give us one term for us to be able to help the children with additional work.

-          Notwithstanding Primary 5 & P6 need to study till 4.30 PM except for those on transport.

-          Primary Seven revision works need to be taken to maximum gear. Class teacher Primary seven needs to SUPER ACTIVE and needs to rally all teachers to deliver pro max.   Primary seven parents must be present

-          The term is relatively short, hence teaching needs to be from the first week – all learners must report in time Hence calls must be made to all parents this week.
