TERM ONE SKILLING EXHIBITION – AY 2025
1)
Nursery (Baby – Top)
·
Making
of balls using banana fibers.
·
Creating
shapes learnt using soft boards, papers, sticks or any locally available
material.
·
Imaginative
drawing – let children draw and paint random pictures of their choice. Give
them a facelift and display that day.
·
Computer
– guide children to draw a keyboard (indicate keys they know – doesn’t have to
be a perfect drawing if they can’t afford one), they can name or showcase
whatever skills they have learnt previously.
2)
Lower Primary ( P1 – P3)
·
Creating
models of the different types of houses – permanent, semi – permanent using
boxes, sticks, powder paint or crayons (any choice of colors)
·
Experiment
about soil – soil has moisture (source of heat, sauce pan, soil)
·
Experiment
of rainfall formation – source of heat, plastic bottle with some cold water,
metallic kettle (if available) can substitute it with a sauce pan etc
·
Designing
different models of parts of the body – head, leg, arm etc using local craft
·
Demonstrating
addition of numbers using a number line. (Better if the number line is draw on
surface and children move the steps practically as they explain)
3)
Upper Primary (P4 – P7)
·
Making
different kinds of bee hives using sticks, boxes (soft boards)
·
Making
the model of the digestive system using papers, banana fibers, polythene bag
(for the stomach) leaf (for the liver) etc
·
Making
3D shapes using soft boards/boxes or any locally available material.
·
Displaying
content mastery : explaining algebraic equations, concept of fractions (parts
of a whole), map of Uganda/East
Africa/Africa showing either physical features, climatic regions, vegetation etc
·
Model
of the respiratory system and how it works – two balloons, straws, colored papers,
hardboard (for the background) etc
You can think of
many other exciting activities you can do to show learning.
