PRIMARY SEVEN TEACHERS MEETING WITH DIRECTOR
Date: 4th July 2025
Streaming :
·
Director noted streaming has not happened despite
two weeks.
·
He also noted that the grouping of children has
been done away with .
·
He advised them to implement it at the earliest without
further excuses.
Practices Papers :
·
Teachers agreed that KEB papers were of
standard.
·
None of the teachers had suggested any practice papers
until the meeting
·
Suggestion of Masaka papers were made by Mr. Hussain
during review.
·
The director advised them to connect with fellow
teachers get soft copies at token appreciation
·
He assured us of getting the papers printed as
soon as soft copies are made available.
Heavy use of technology
·
Teachers had not been using technology despite
suggestions.
·
Teachers of Science and SST used some tech but
not in orderly fashion .
·
Math and English – is still not thinking of the
same
·
Director called Mr. TREVOR and asked him to assign a working Desk with
internet and ability to project things permanently in P7 CLASS . He also
advised them to warn the children not to play around with the set up.
·
He also assured them that if they need any help
in regards to this they are free to walk in in any office but good to pass via
DOS / HM / Mr. innocent
Prep timing
·
Prem time table has not been implemented fully
·
Prep progamme of work was not looked at seriously
.
·
There was no tracking by teachers or DOS /HM on
the work covered in prep schedule.
·
Director gave them a print out of the prep
workplan and advised them to track the works delivered.
Box Files
·
Box files were not reviewed though the director looked
at them himself and found 14 children with no box files. He had also shared his
observations on box files that had gone through – this was shared with HM
·
All box files should have p7 sets, independent worksheets,
and neatly organized
·
It was agreed that all p7 children will be
billed for SETS/ BOX FILES/ BOOKS – of they don’t have, and parents will be
informed. Bursar will maintain the list and issued with signatures to enable
proper billing and accountability.
Reflections
·
Teachers have not sat together to work on
reflection mechanism.
·
They have not understood how reflection must be
enabled.
·
Peer-to-peer grouping is the first step to
enable reflections on previous paper.
·
The teachers should do prep work on preparing
the tree map on guided reflection as soon as they get the papers from their experience,
·
Director gave examples on guided reflections
·
He hoped that teachers would pick a leaf and
work on the same.
Counselling
·
Some counselling was done – though not specific
to P7
·
One of the teachers also raised disturbance to teaching
and learning due to some school programmes.
·
Director advised that P7 be not disturbed especially
when lessons are ongoing as per timetable
·
He advised that class be divided into groups of
21 and each subject teacher begiven responsibility of these 21 learners each (group)
·
The P7 counselling was done over the weekend in
these mentor 4 groups. However, mentor teachers were advised to brainstorm, on
the shared agenda for counselling.
The meeting ended with hope and prayer that discussion would
find execution and progress in the next review meeting.
The director assured the team of taking charge increase he
continues noticing no movement. Review
meeting can be called any time.

Minutes of Meeting with Director
18th June 2025
1-
Consider Streaming (for Mbalwa)= The class is big , we need to have two streams. 35+50 is ideal. Best 35 followed by next 50.
2-
Practice Papers = We have administered 5 ( +1 currently) of
papers. 9 more set shall be provided , if any particular sets are required ,
suggestions be made.
3-
Heavy use of technology = is a must for
accelerated learning – all teachers must engage in the same.
4-
Prep timing = This has to be streamline –
A time table and work plan for entire remaining weeks is a must – and diligently
followed.
5-
BOX Files = each student must have a box
file with all previous sets in their for enabling them reflect and revise.
6-
Reflection on Performance = It is
important the corrections of papers done is taken seriously. All students must
be involved and they must be able to identify where they went wrong and how
they can improve. Peer- to -Peer approach will be helpful
7-
Counselling – it is important we treat P7
as adults and counseling is organized for them , they need to be held accountable
and be remined of their responsibility.
