A-     Schedule of Events

     Time   - Tasks

·       9:45 AM   -Arrival of Delegations at DAS Seeta

·       10: 00 AM -10:15 AM  - General Assembly and Briefing

·       10: 15 AM – 11:15 AM  -Setting up of Models and Stations in Exhibition room – Round 1

·       11: 15 AM – 12: 00 PM  - Exhibition  (3 minutes per team)

·       12: 00 PM -1:00 PM - Tabulation of Results and announcement of Top 4  & Lunch Break     

      1:00  PM – 1:30 PM -Getting ready for Round 2

·       1:30 PM – 2:00 PM- Presentation – 15 minutes per team

·       2:00 PM – 2:30 PM -Results and Facilitation of Winners ( Award giving)

·       2:30 PM - Departure

 

B-     General briefing

The purpose of the event is to compliment , augment and  forward the theoretical teaching  in the areas of STEM for DAS learners.

Participants will be competing in two rounds :

·       Exhibition round :  Round 1

Each team will get 3 minutes to present their Projects to the Judges who will move from one station to another listening to the children’s explanation to the project.

4 out of 15 groups will be selected

 

·       Presentation round :  Round 2

Top four teams will be presenting their projects; each team will be getting 15 minutes for their presentation.

10 Minutes will be presentation, and 5 minutes will be Q &A

 

C-    Judgement  Criteria :

Round 1

·       Scientific knowledge and understanding: depth & accuracy of scientific concepts & principles, application of science knowledge, Is the project well-designed, reliable and neatly finished?   (5)

·        Presentation & display: clarity, organization & layout, visual appeal & engagement (3)

·       Teamwork & collaboration: evidence of effective teamwork & collaboration in the group. (3)

·       Creativity & originality: uniqueness of the project, creativity exhibited in approach & design.  (4)

Round  2

·       Ability to exhibit real understanding  Answering a question aimed to explore deeper understanding of the subject matter. (5 marks)

·       Ability to Problem Solve – Answering a question based on application of concepts  (5 marks)

 

D-    Awards

All 16 members (4 x 4 ) will earn Director’s certificate of Merit.

Best 3 will be given the Director’s Gold, Silver and Bronze medals of merit respectively

Best team will be  awarded the Winning Shield.

Ps: Best 2 Coaches (Gold and Silver) will be also given certificate of merit for their coaching.
