🟢 PHASE 1: COMMENCEMENT & ESTABLISHMENT

Focus: Environment Setup, Onboarding, and Routine Foundation

Week 1 (Feb 10 – 14) | The Opening Phase

  • Welcoming & Orientation: Formal reception of all new and returning learners.

  • Environment Preparation: Deep cleaning, classroom setup, and notice board organization.

  • Administrative Accuracy: Updating student registers and listing all received requirements.

  • Parent Outreach: Immediate follow-up calls for students who have not yet reported.

  • Celebration: Welcome festivities featuring music, dance, and motivational speeches.

  • Logistics: Distribution of uniforms and learning materials for those with confirmed orders.

Week 2 (Feb 17 – 21) | Instructional Launch

  • Staff Empowerment: Orientation on competencies, work plans, and classroom/duty allocations.

  • Technical Prep: Lesson planning, scheming, and TLM preparation (Note: Use strings/pins; no pasting on walls).

  • Academic Kick-off: Commencement of formal teaching; marking/correction of holiday packages.

  • Assessment Start: Launch of Bi-weekly CC hour tests (Nursery–P6) and P7 Weekly Topical Tests.

  • Enrichment: Launch of Clubs (Chess/Agri, Soccer, STEM, Voracious Readers, Math Express).

  • Wellness: Commencement of optional swimming sessions.


🟡 PHASE 2: MONITORING, LEADERSHIP & INNOVATION

Focus: Quality Assurance and 21st Century Skill Development

Week 3 (Feb 24 – 28) | Quality & Monitoring

  • Supervision: Formal lesson observations by DOS, Head of Nursery, and Head of School.

  • Instructional Review: Ongoing review of lesson plans and teaching progress.

  • Operations: Financial reporting and confirmation of student numbers by the Secretary’s office.

  • HR Review: Performance evaluation of all support staff.

  • Academics: Completion of all pending holiday work marking.

Week 4 (Mar 3 – 7) | Leadership & Audit

  • Internal Audit: 21st Century Learning Exhibition reviewed by Heads of Schools.

  • Student Voice: Conduct Student Body Elections.

  • Financial Follow-up: Bulk SMS dispatch to parents regarding minimum fee balances.

  • Clubs: Dedicated MDD Club activities and regular club rotations.

Week 5 (Mar 10 – 14) | Project Focus

  • Showcase: Project presentations highlighting 21st Century learning outcomes.

  • Governance: Official swearing-in ceremony for the newly elected Prefectural Body.

  • Arrears Management: Physical notes sent to parents regarding outstanding fees.


🔴 PHASE 3: ASSESSMENT & REMEDIAL INTERVENTION

Focus: Mid-Term Milestones and Closing Learning Gaps

Week 6 (Mar 17 – 21) | Mid-Term Evaluation

  • Assessments: Comprehensive Mid-term exams for all levels (Nursery–P7).

  • Competency Review: Intensive revision of key learning competencies.

  • Reporting: Completion of student files, report cards, and 21st Century performance reports.

  • Engagement: Exhibition & Visitation Day; 1-day Mid-term break.

  • Policy: Final reminder for 50% fee payment completion.

Week 7 (Mar 24 – 28) | Remedial Launch

  • Support: Identification of weak learners and assignment of dedicated remedial hours.

  • Progression: Building toward end-term 21st Century presentations.

  • Financial Control: Enforcement of fee policy (access stopped for those under 50% payment).

Week 8 (Mar 31 – Apr 4) | Intensification

  • Intervention: Ongoing remedial hours for identified learners.

  • Project Wrap-up: Completion of 21st Century projects ready for final presentation.

  • Outreach: Follow-up with absentees via phone calls and home visits where necessary.


🏁 PHASE 4: THE GRAND FINALE & EVALUATION

Focus: Syllabus Completion and Final Assessments

Week 9 (Apr 7 – 11) | Syllabus Audit

  • Tracking: Comprehensive review of syllabus completion progress across all departments.

  • Recognition: Final 21st Century skill presentations and awarding of marks.

Week 10 (Apr 14 – 18) | Conclusion

  • Academics: Finalization of all remedial hours and official completion of the syllabus.

  • Routine: Final P7 topical tests and optional swimming sessions.

Week 11 (Apr 21 – 25) | Revision & Finals

  • Exams: Conduct End-of-Term Final Exams (Nursery–P7).

  • Reporting: Preparation of student files, reports, and feedback.

  • Parents: Progress check visitation and official closure of the term for students.

Week 12 (Apr 28 – May 2) | Staff Evaluation

  • Review: Term evaluation and departmental presentations.

  • Future Planning: Developing the "Way Forward" strategy for Term 2.

  • Directorate: Submission of all final term reports to the School Director.

  • Closure: Official term closure for staff (excluding designated key personnel).
